In my opinion, teenagers nowadays are less happy than their parents at the same age. The world has changed and is more technologically advanced but it doesn’t really mean it's easier. The internet has definitely put much more pressure on today's youth. Most of them spend a lot of time on social media watching perfect looking people with perfect lives. And maybe not everything shown on the Internet is real, but it definitely creates a lot of unrealistic expectations. Because of that, almost every teenager feels depressed, lonely or struggles with low self-esteem. In addition, many people rarely go outside because they prefer to communicate over the Internet. Unfortunately, it can’t replace contact with others in real life. In the past, people had to socialize with others outside the house and this allowed them to create great memories and really have a good time. The lack of socializing in real life and the pressure of a perfect life created by the Internet is a big problem in teenagers' lives. It makes it difficult for them to enjoy life as their parents did when they were their age.
