Protests in Iran

The protests began after 22-year-old Mehsa Amini was killed by morality police for wearing a hijab "inappropriately". Iranians started gathering on the streets and on the Internet, demanding justice for Amini and the abolition of the mandatory hijab for women. A lot of women took off their hijabs or cut their hair in public, many protesters were injured and some were killed.  Like many people, I think forcing women or anyone to hide their bodies and wear the obligatory hijab should never happen. Learning about this type of situation angers me and reminds me of how women are mist...

60 year old man climbs skyscraper in Paris

Last Saturday, 60 year old man Alain Robert climbed an 187 meter high skyscraper in France. He said he wanted to show people that being 60 is nothing - you can still do sports and fabulous things. And it wasn't his first time as he had climbed many of the world's tallest buildings before. He sometimes uses it to raise awareness of important topics, such as the need for climate action. He climbs with his bare hands, without a harness, and often without permission. I think it's good that he at least uses his hobby to remind people of important things. But climbing the tallest buildings without any protection is far too extreme. This can encourage others to do the same. And if he had fallen, he could have killed someone else. I think a person of his age should be wiser and not put himself and others at risk for fun.  Source:  https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/sep/17/french-spiderman-climbs-48-storey-skyscraper-in-paris-aged-60
